The third DSE Sample to be translated and is entitled, Geometry.Surface.BSplineSurface.ByPoints.ds.
Open the file, Geometry.Surface.BSplineSurface.ByPoints.ds, in the DS Editor and run it. The script is shown below.
Now open DS Studio, and paste the DSE script resulting into a blank canvas.
Note the highlighted commenting out which must be deleted in order to activate the code.
Now commenting out the “(import(ProGeometry.dll)” script as highlighted above must be added. It can now be run as a Code Block of script, before the translation to Nodes takes place.
The preliminary translation is shown above. Again the WCS Coordinate identity node is standing alone and not tied into any other nodes. Use the PointByCartesianCoordinates from the Studio library.
Again, there are currently limitations in DSS for developing the surface, a custom node is required, for the BSplineSurface array generation. Add the custom PtTransporterFor003.ds node to the DSS canvas from the (+) Library. As we continue the translation, the developed translation is shown below.
The red and yellow highlighted areas match the description and properties layout that is given to the script in the initial DS Editor *.ds file.
The “Node to Code” operation as shown above. One must remember that the PtTransporter003.ds file must be present in the Library for this translation to work.
The geometry that results from the various code translations is shown above. Liberty was taken with making various colors and having some transparency with the geometry as shown above in the graphic window. DSS was run as a stand-alone application and the translation files are available to download from the DropBox links below.
