While in the process of translating the DesignScript .ds sample files and learning about the nuances of adequately defining DSS nodes and their variables, it might be worthwhile to revisit the DesignScript Language Manual and the translations to DSS that were made on the various chapters. Visit DesignScript.org or the Autodesk DesignScript Community Forum for the translations.
The first chapter however due to it’s editorial (DSE) nature was not translated into DesignScript Studio (DSS). However, looking thru the DSE sample files one comes across Text, Geometry.TextByCoordinateSystem.ds
After reviewing the contents, go to Chapter one, Language Basics, page 7 thru 9 and paste the script contents, as it appears (output is the gray highlighted boxed content on the left of the pages), into the DS Editor. When run, it will look like something shown below.

Using bits of the script content were pasted into the DSS canvas,
This brings up the following Graphic shown below.
Now, improvising in the canvas with additional text and at a different location one gets.
Not agreeing that “less it’s a bore”, the graphic window is shown below.
Love to see text capabilities developed more into DesignScript Studio. The files are available for download at the links below.
