Hi Everyone:
Here is the twelfth DesignScript Editor (lite) Translation file entitled “CoordinateSystem.ByThreePoints” to be translated to DesignScript Studio.
As one opens the file note the opening coordinate requirements.
An origin point can also be generated by using the WCS CoordinateSystem Identity node.
Clicking on the three dots on the WCS nodes upper-right corner and scrolling (or typing) to Origin, the node can be accessed. After placing it on the canvas, use it in lieu of the prescribed Point.ByCartesianCoordinate node. Of course this isn’t necessary but it’s an alternative that was stumbled upon.
Check on the origin’s coordinate location by changing the graphic (hover your cursor over the three dots on the preview graphic) to the textual preview to verify the origin coordinates.
Getting on, below is the first pass at translating.
The file was kept intact, but the option to use the origin node remains. Next up filling out the properties.
Then the Node to Code translation.
And the Window Graphic that results with the file versions.
The files can be downloaded from the links below.
